Apa Ada Pada Nama?

I wanna share with you guys, my experience after participating the antenatal class in Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong, but my camera which have photos from the class is with my sister now. So i can't share much. I hope i can get it soon and share it here. Sabaq sikit na?

I am now 35 week pregnant. Another 5 more weeks to go. Honestly, i can't stand it anymore, i just hope and wish and pray that my lil' prince will make his grand arrival like 2 or 3 weeks earlier from the estimated due which is May 15th. Went for a check up last week, baby is now 2.4kg and healthy. Took some blood test and MGTT (test where i have to drink a packet of sugar, which is extremely sweet that i cried swallowing it) because my mom have diabetese so i need to go for this test. Will get the result on our next check up. Hopefully i'm 'clean'.

So yeah, only 5 more weeks to go. Preparation is like 80% done. Bought the essentials stuff, standby some essentials in the car in case of emergency and called the urut lady, what else? oh we haven't buy his bath basin, nail clipper, nappy cream yet. Hopefully we can get it within this week. We planned to decorate a nursery room for him, but it didn't go well as the plan, too busy on the weekends. But will get it set eventually   :)

We have a name for him already. Keep calling that name since the fourth month. K have a thing for names. He wants it to be meaningful. No urban or mat salleh name for our kids. At first i told him, "let's name him Isaac son of Abraham". I love that name. Been berangan to call my own son Isaac. He asked me "what's the meaning of Isaac?". Told him it is an English name for Isa son of Prophet Ibrahim.(Well actually it's originated from Hebrew meaning 'he will laugh'.)It's kinda a good meaning though for Hebrew. Unfortunately K didn't like it. Then i proposed another name, which is Mikhael one of our Angels name. He likes it, but when we 'looked' around us, there's alot of Mikhael now. So na'ah, we keep looking and we found a couple of name that we both like. We want to keep it simple and as short as we can. Because you know if you have a long name like for example, Muhammad Ayden Hood Harith bin Mohd Azri, eventually he'll be call only Ayden, or maybe Hood, or Aris, or maybe Mat. Right? So we are trying to make it as short and simple as we can, but meaningful.

Since the widespread of Western culture throughout the world, it has become customary amongst Muslims not to take into cognisance the meaning of the name when naming a child.  Naming a child with a beautiful and honourable name is very important. The Prophet always chose names with good and beautiful meanings, even telling people to change their names if they had unpleasant meanings.Nowadays many people chose to name their kids with urban name to keep up with the trend like, Alexander for Iskandar, Isaac for Isa, Abraham for Ibrahim or Iman Noel taken after Emanuelle. Well as long as it has a good meaning, to each his own.

**tapi kalau name panjang dan bermakna pun, last2 panggil edy, ery, zal, epul, ira, lya, mat saje. takde makne jugak an an?? ..  TOO EACH HIS OWN

Love,
Mrs.K
